Adrienne Murray works across print, sculpture, and sound, to develop work which attempts to counter apathy in the age of the digital. Adrienne collects and transfigures the imagery of natural matter and everyday ephemera to create delicate and ethereal compositions, sculptures, and sound works which explore narratives of sensitivity, connection and instinct.

Her material choices attempt to balance ephemerality and solidity in an endeavour to interpret the immaterial dynamics of living, being, and dreaming in the digital age.

As an alternative to desensitisation, she aims to encourage others to perceive the wonder and magic in the ordinary and the everyday, by drawing focus to the poetry in the materiality of the physical things which surround us.

An egg, or a nail, and natural forms such as tree roots, branches, stones, and flowers, Adrienne combines the mundane and the at times overlooked with an awareness of the beauty which can be seen through patience, and closer inspection.
